The Pit Bull And Me
![Picture](/uploads/2/1/3/4/21349750/1688423.jpg?376)
I was fist introduced to the American Pit Bull Terrier in June of 2011 when I received a pure white red nose baby girl. Rosy immediately stole my heart and my passion for the breed began to grow. I was familiar with the breed's reputation as I grew up in an AKC breeding kennel, but I know better than to listen to media. I sought out to learn as much truth about this breed as I possibly could and found some very shocking information.
Please look into my further pages to find the truth and help me save this misunderstood breed.

It is my firm belief that there is no such thing as a vicious breed. There are simply individual dogs doing what they were bred, raised, and trained to do. Every dog has the potential to be a good dog, No matter the age or breed. They just need an understanding sole and the right balance of Discipline and Encouragement.
My Background

I grew up in a kennel that raised the German Shorthair Pointer and the Lhasa Apso. These lines are still a part of my family to this day. I hold a great passion for the GSP and I have competed in numerous AKC dog shows with my Familie's lines since early childhood.
At 11 years old I began training English Springer Spaniels and handling them in field trial competitions all over the northern United Sates and Canada. In 2004 I competed in my first competition as a professional handler. I took Third place against 16 in the puppy group. In 2006 I competed in the Canadian National Field Trials in Quebec.
As and adult, I began working with Problem cases and helping owners understand how to get their pets to be members of their family rather that annoyances. I find that most cases of a "bad dog" is simply a dog lacking in manners ano needs to be taught their place in "the pack". I have had experience with everything from a "vicious" Cocker Spaniel to an anxious Labrador Retriever, to a timid abused Pit Bull. Over the years I have worked with many cases from bad situations, reintroducing them to a family environment.

I hate to see a family unhappy with their animal because they have a "bad dog". I believe there is no such thing as a bad dog, there are only naive owners. In my opinion, this is the biggest reason for over populated animal shelters.
